Elwina Chung

Obituary of Elwina Kit Ching Chung

Elwina Chung was surrounded by love as she passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital after a valiantly fought battle with cancer on Monday, September 9th, 2019.  Born in Hong Kong on September 8th, 1962, and immigrated to Canada at 27, she has lived a full and beautiful life. Through life’s many ups and downs, her strength, perseverance, and positivity were unwavering. A dedicated mother, caring sister, and loyal friend, she was well-loved by all. She will forever hold a special part in our hearts and her impact will be ever-lasting. She is survived by her husband, Davy Chung and her daughter, Hayley Chung.

On Elwina’s behalf, her family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences. A special thanks to the Sunnybrook Hospital staff for providing the best care, attention, and understanding throughout her battle.

The visitation will occur on Saturday, September 14th, 2019 at R.S. Kane Funeral Home from 10:30am-1:30pm followed by a celebration of life from 1:30pm-2:30pm. The burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens at 3:00pm.  Snacks and refreshments will be provided throughout the visitation.
